Filmmaker Statement

Wings is an introspective piece made in collaboration with the writer Sonya Hale, who explored the truths of her own, often turbulent, life. During the writing process Sonya was diagnosed with terminal cancer and died, changing the meaning of the story we were developing together, to one dedicated to her memory.
