Shot across one weekend with a production budget of £700 and a crew of passionate upstarts, this musical drama is a milestone achievement in micro-budget filmmaking. The music is all written by Jim Onyemenam, who also penned the script and directed it; and is produced by Estelle Sandy, who coordinated professionals and students alike to realise this project and the story it tells. Their creative ambitions go well beyond the limitations of the budget, as they incorporate various experimental elements to drive the story, and its emotional reverberance, and its characters perspective, in fresh, unique, and idiosyncratic ways, including the adoption of commercial filmmaking styles, the incorporation of video montages, and graphic elements, as our two characters explore their nuanced and particular emotions for each other.
