Filmmaker Statement

I hope that this film will resonate with anyone who has ever loved an animal. While our obsession with our pets can be humorous at times, our relationship with them is also inspiring. As Lucy says in the film, “our relationship with animals gets us out of thinking about ourselves. I think it makes us better people.” Her work reminds us of the deep and special bond we have with our pets, and how hard it can be when we lose them.
