Filmmaker Statement

We found our story when we noticed Eddie playing Time Crisis II alone in two-player mode at a Los Angeles arcade, wearing custom holsters for the plastic guns. His dedication pulled us in, but getting to know him revealed a deeper story about connection and belonging. We spent significant time with Eddie, earning his trust and understanding his routines and hopes for friendship. As lifelong collaborators drawn to quirky, human stories, we felt drawn to his world. Eddie opened up to us in a way that allowed an authentic portrait, and we wanted to honor his sincerity.
