After getting diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 30, I was determined to find a way to calm my mind. I soon got introduced to mindfulness by a friend and began attending meditation classes. It was here that I began to notice the patterns of my mind and how my ego would often pull me into fantasies, which often involved imaginary petty arguments with friends, colleagues and foes. And it was this that led me to the idea of the short film. Whilst these intrusive thoughts can be debilitating and have a negative impact on our mental health, they can at times also be funny, verging on the utterly ridiculous. So my comedy antenna has picked up on this and decided to focus specifically on the inner working of a mindfulness teachers mind. My intention is not to make fun of mindfulness or spiritual type teachers, far from it. Instead I want to convey the idea that no one has it sorted, inside we are all equally as messed up as each other. And that is inherently human and connects us all.
