I made this film about my friend Kevin, who is an abstract painter and someone I admire a lot. When I heard the story of how he lost decades of paintings, drawings, and memories due to not paying his storage bill, it really crushed me. I resonated with the patterns of relentless creativity that Kevin showed throughout his life, but also the self-destructive behaviors that can come with it. Overall, I want other artists in the world to see this and feel a sense of camaraderie. The act of making personal art and administering our careers can be quite absurd most days. However, regardless of all the hoops we need to jump through to take care of ourselves, making art will always a worthwhile act of self love. I dedicate this film to Kevin and his lost art. I also great appreciate the efforts of my producers both in the USA, and Brazil. Ivan Narez-Hurtado, Gabriel Rollinos, and Samuel Malbon. If given the opportunity I would love to present this film as part of a physical activation alongside Kevin's journals and paintings.
