Filmmaker Statement

Against the Fangs began with a deeply personal question from my wife: “Would you die for your child?” That sudden, piercing question stayed with me. I felt that every parent—human or animal—would probably give the same answer. It led me to reflect on the instinctive love that exists at the core of life itself. A love so powerful, it allows even the weakest in nature to stand up against the strongest when it comes to protecting their child. Through this dialogue-free short, I wanted to explore that universal force: a parent’s primal courage, born from love.
