Filmmaker Statement

The essence of our films is to bring awareness to issues that are not discussed enough. That's the reason why we make them. In my first short film, PURE, I showed the importance of self-acceptance through a woman struggling with alopecia, which I also have. So it was a very personal story for me. Next, I wanted to learn more about other struggles, learn and understand them, in this case it was about the deaf community. The story is about discrimination against people with disabilities, especially the hearing impaired, and the impact that has on their mental health. With this in mind, my team and I tried to tell a story with artistic choices that convey the inner struggles of the protagonist. In addition, the structure of the story, and especially the ending, is meant to represent the protagonist's uncertain future.
