Filmmaker Statement

I made this film in my early-twenties whilst going through a coming-of-age after graduating from university. Expecting this period to be filled with youthful vibrancy as I'd seen in the movies, instead I found myself confronting a quiet grief. People began to change, leave and fall in love at different paces. True connection felt elusive and fragile, as it was no longer guaranteed through shared history or circumstances. I wanted to explore this and acknowledge the irony of feeling alone, together.
