Filmmaker Statement

In this movie, I wanted to showcase that side of the Social Media we are less aware of. I wanted to shine a light on the typical racism that happens everyday in the online world: subtle and nearly whispered, the average social media consumer that says “I’m not racist but…”. In the film we mixed this element with people’s main interest on Social Media: the likes. The more a profile, an event, a cause is liked, the more people will support it, even if they don’t really care about it. With this film, we depicted a dystopian world ruled by Social Media which might be closer than we think.
