Filmmaker Statement

This film started off as trying to be a one scene, dialog driven 5 min short to making things easy on myself. I quickly realized I needed to expand the idea in order to tell a more complex, complete, and personal story. It's my most ambitious film I've done to date, and it's the smallest crew I've had to date (basically myself and fiance + her brother. both of which are not "filmmaker" people, they're just really smart). It's made out of complete love. Love for my tiny crew, love for my amazing actors, and love for my own style of filmmaking and my ability to pull everything off. It lives in that area between drama, comedy, and not quite a family film that no one knows how to market. I hope you like it!
