I had been wanting to make a longer short for a while as all my other shorts have been around 3 minutes or less. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could make a longer, narrative film, which explored themes which I'd like to interrogate further in my work, such as mental health (in which this film explores). The initial story idea stemmed from a dream where someone wore an animal head. I really liked the premise, so I evolved it into a story I wanted to tell.
