With Before I Touch the Earth, I wanted to capture the quiet magic of overlooked moments. We often rush through life searching for grand milestones, but meaning is found in the smallest encounters—a bird overhead, a flower brushing against us, a streak of color in the light. By telling the story through the eyes of a single raindrop, I hoped to remind us that even the briefest journeys can leave a lasting impression. This film is not about arrival, but about noticing, feeling, and belonging—before we ever touch the ground. My goal was to create something that feels whimsical yet comforting, simple yet profound, in the spirit of the animated stories that shaped my imagination growing up.
