Filmmaker Statement

The idea behind this movie came more than a year ago, when death was pretty present in my life, i was looking for a way to make it less mystical and far from me. I wanted to give it a face, a visual representation other than the liveless grimm reaper we often see. So i created this little tale of the birth of death, in wich death is a little boy who had a tragic life we can relate to. Plus i feel like nowadays we don't often see tale like this, a fictional story to give roots for a real thing, back in the days we invented legends and myth to talk about things we can't explain, and i feel like thoses stories are what's binding us to thoses things in a more personnal way.
