Filmmaker Statement

An ode to a forgotten place full of forgotten love. Buzzbrews is a way of making sense of how my memories have shaped my perception of relationships and how reconfiguring those memories can shed new light on how I exist outside of those relationships. I searched everywhere for glimpses of memories I had cherished for so long in my memory and found only a single row of 3 photos in my camera roll to document my time spent in high school at a diner called Buzzbrews. Making this film was my way of recreating the space that meant so much to me in a way that felt familiar even while looking completely different.
