As both an animator and horror fan, director Peter Ahern decided to blend these two passions into his latest short Buzzkill - a campy, vibrant love letter to both the medium and the genre. Ambitious in scope, but produced independently over several years with a small band of collaborators, Buzzkill embraces a charmingly traditional approach towards every aspect, from classic 2D character animation to hand-drawn background art and even an analogue score composed on a 1981 Moog synthesizer. Rad! With a story full of twists and turns and a tone that wavers between silly and horrific, Buzzkill aims to pull its viewers in for an over the top rollercoaster ride full of bitchin’, warped fun!
