Filmmaker Statement

We were interested in making a film with an A.I. that wasn't a romance or a sexualized fembot. The idea of a Caretaker Robot seemed both highly likely in the future given the aging population and lack of caretakers, as well as a fun opportunity to play with a character's resistance to that care. Robot aside, it's mostly about a woman's slightly absurd journey towards accepting where her mental health is at and that she could maybe use a little support.
