Filmmaker Statement

I made this film very loosely based on my parents dynamic (note the term "loosely") after hearing my mother wonder out loud what her life would be like if she could move back to Hong Kong. The idea built up from there and blossomed into the troubled characters of Cherry and Paul. Pulling inspiration from my favourite horror movies, I came up with this anxiety inducing journey through a fateful night in a 50's American suburban home. I had a lot of fun getting to play with different film styles and work with incredible actors bringing my characters back to life.
