This is my thesis film from my film school, The Institute of Production & Recording, and it's inspired by my own experience of learning how to drive a manual transmission. The idea of the protagonist being a car thief came from someone who told me that having a manual transmission is good for theft prevention. So it began as a question, "What would happen if a car thief broke into a car with a manual transmission?" And then this crazy story spawned from that.
