Filmmaker Statement

I wrote DEADLINE while I was in a very similar situation as our hero, Ben: Working late at the office trying to hit an insane deadline on a commercial edit. This short film is a product of the places my imagination took me that night. It's an eerie feeling, being in the office, alone at night. But beyond the surface level, this film is a metaphor for the dangers of "hustle culture," and a reminder that a work-life balance is crucial for your mental health. I hope you enjoy.
