Filmmaker Statement

Helping Jenny Piersol bring the personal story of Dear Simone to the screen was a special and unique challenge. Trying to stay true to Jenny's personal relationship with the piece, while also bringing my own vision to the work was a distinct challenge that really helped me to grow as a filmmaker. This was also the first time as a director that I had the privilege of a proper budget and talented crew to work with and the resulting film that emerged is a pleasure to share.
