Filmmaker Statement

DOOMSCROLL is a coming-of-age, comedic horror about several long-time friends who accidentally summon a ghost that will change their lives forever. For this project, we utilized virtual production to immerse our talent into the world. All shots in DOOMSCROLL were shot on an LED volume mixed with practical set pieces. In other words, there are zero VFX shots, and it is 100% a virtual production workflow. Our film was involved in ROE VISUAL’S case study program, where filmmakers new to virtual production are granted three days of use of their promotional sound stage. Leading up to those days, we met with a virtual production team and understood how to build the worlds we were after.
