I‘ve had a drive for art ever since I can remember anything at all, and I’ve struggled with feeling “good enough” or “worthy” for just as long. I wrote this film after finally being able to start therapy and go on a journey of healing the inner child in me who got shut down every time she expressed herself in any way. It’s been a painful process, but as a year has passed, the confidence I have gained is a gift I’m truly grateful for, and am yearning to share. This film is a love letter to not only other artists, but anyone who’s had a passion for absolutely anything and has been made to feel like an alien for it. I hope that whoever comes across this film can feel seen and be reminded that the sole approval we truly require comes from within ourselves. Perhaps this sentiment might resonate with you as well.
