Filmmaker Statement

Eggscape is all about being afraid and our continuous sense of insignificance. So I wrote three stories that highlight features of the game: Facing formidable enemies, developing combat skills, and customizing your characters. There are other promotional pieces where we describe game features in a more classical way, we wanted this to be a testimony of the core vibe. Consumers have so many options that pitching you a product feels somewhat invasive. So our approach was more like: Before asking anything from you, please taste our world “On the technical side, we are on a continuous crusade to find ways to optimize animation processes. With all the formidable advancements in AI and automation, it’s remarkable how high-quality cartoon animation remains very hard to simplify without a noticeable loss in quality or a compromise of style.
