It harkens back to the Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly musicals including The Gumby Show & Chuck Jones cartoons. Wanted to capture that same magical, escapist feel they did during the Golden Ages when it was all about creating showmanship for the general masses. Something that was larger-than-life than anything. And that was key when making this from beginning to end.
