Filmmaker Statement

Finding Gulo is about the single minded determination that is required to accomplish a seemingly impossible goal. I wanted to make this film because the work of these photographers and scientists to document wolverines is a heck of an adventure. But also, I think it shows that when we are concerned about an issue in our community, that we can make a real difference. The mountains and locations that we filmed in were stunning, which was a treat as a cinematographer. Our crew was small and scrappy (we produced, filmed and handled DIT), primarily myself and co-director Tyler Wilkinson-Ray.
