Filmmaker Statement

As a child, I had little to no friends. Once at school, a random kid approached me and started talking to me. Astounded, I bluntly asked if he wanted to be my friend. That friend and I have been friends ever since that day over a decade ago. This film is a representation of that moment, a moment in time where I felt like an outcast. Instead of being thrown into the woods like the monster in the film, I was told to go eat my food somewhere else. I felt like a monster, and this film is a love letter to that moment in time.
