Filmmaker Statement

F**KED is the result of a series of conversations between Meg Salter & Sara Harrak about producing a piece of queer comedy on a subject which isn’t often spoken about. We wanted to break down the taboo of open relationships & polyamory in a world both with labels and without a rule book, showing them in a positive light and in a working relationship – trying to highlight through humour that whilst it can be an amazing setup, nothing is straight forward. F**KED is special to us as a light-hearted piece about a married couple, and not a story just about being queer. These conversations can happen in any kind of relationship and Meg conveyed that perfectly in her script. We’re hoping this is a short that will provoke the audience to ask questions, and help them see there’s no right or wrong answers when the focus is on human connection and communication.
