Filmmaker Statement

The film was a game changer for my understanding of artistic work. The close collaboration between me (as well as DOP) and the main cast Martina Greiner and Wojo van Brouwer opened me a concept of sensitive and resonant work process I am since "flight into darkness" see us a core quality to be caught on set and be experienced by the audience. The performance of the cast and the aesthetics were main focus besides a multi-layered narration to deepen the several (often) subversive implemented possible perspectives discovered by the viewer as well as the packed amount of potentially as relevant assumable details the film contains.
