Filmmaker Statement

Gem Mint follows the story of Johnny, a sleazy sports card collector, and how his shot at potentially earning $30 million backfires tremendously. Filmed entirely in one day and at one location, Gem Mint takes place within less than ten minutes. However, the twenty-two straight hours of filming can be found directly on the actors' faces, which only adds to their characters' growing anxieties and frustrations.
