Filmmaker Statement

An experimental entirely hand drawn animation, in the straight ahead technique, to represent the genesis. I aimed to merge different myths of the European tradition into a dreamscape, to highlight the concept of creation itself, in an artistic sense: from darkness imagination can fill the void with anything, in a fluid movement, where time and space as we know them do not exist. Therefore, as the universe expands, it can contract, and everything in reverse goes back to the start. The animation is part of a theatre show tackling these themes called Nobodaddy by Michael Keegan Dolan and Teac Damsa, currently touring in UK and Europe.
