Successful accountant Toby Maguire has reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, one week. His African-Caribbean girlfriend Monique Douglas, invites him for a weekend getaway in the countryside to meet her parents. At first glance, Toby reads the family's excessively obliging behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship. Over the course of the weekend, he is gradually made aware of he’s white privilege and is emotionally challenged on his own thoughts and of his girlfriend’s family real intentions. A vibrant comedy with a culturally referenced take on today’s society that is a comical reversal of the original film Get Out.
