I've never been in a frat, but when I read this short story in the Paris Review by Benjamin Nugent, I was intrigued on the unique dynamic between this group of guys. It felt like a fresh take on a classic story of identity – specifically sexual identity. They all have nicknames for each other, like they're all hiding from something. I wanted to capture it in a sort of literary, daydreamy way, I hope it worked.
