The concept for this i short film came to me during the WGA/SAG strike. I was at home thinking about how I could be creative during that time of pause and introspection. I had taken a hand at screenwriting before, but I had never considered actually making a film. So, I called up some actor friends who were also at home, reached out to filmmakers I respected, and together, with our little budget, we set out to create something we are all proud of one year later. I chose this specific piece because it’s based on something I experienced as a teen finishing high school. Of course, I’ve taken some comedic and dramatic liberties, but the heart of the piece remains the same. I hope others resonate with the comedy, romance, messiness, anxiety, and fun that come with growing up and stepping into a new chapter of life.
