Filmmaker Statement

I wanted to make this film because it spoke to me, storywise, thematically and also because the structure and the setting of the film interested me. The choice of having it take place in a dream setting allowed it to go places it otherwise couldn’t. I’ve drawn inspiration from a multitude of mediums, films, papers, blogs, music, etc discussing the film's themes and then brought a piece of myself into it. The story comes from a place of uncertainty and fear. One that derives from a personal view and a wavering hope that what we do and who we are matters and, despite it all, can forge a light in an endlessly dark tunnel.
