This film was borne of quarantine frustration. I think that probably comes across in the content of the story and the overall tone of the piece, too. My partner and I were stuck out in rural Arkansas when the pandemic began and, at the beginning, we didn't even have internet access. We used every resource we had available to us, which wasn't much, and our budget was minuscule. Between the two of us, we did every job on set. I built a rain machine for $50 from stuff I bought from a home improvement store. It was a very difficult shoot. But from all that frustration and difficulty, we got what I think is a really impressive film that I'm immensely proud of. I hope the audience leaves feeling like they just went on a wild ride and they have a lot of questions and lively discussion afterward. I draw inspiration from the giants of filmmaking and for this piece, I was channeling David Lynch. I'd like to think he would approve.
