The bitter reality is that in our lifetime Afghanistan will always be in a state of war. As a child of Afghan parents - is it possible to reminisce, love, and cherish a home country that doesn't necessarily belong to me? Herat is a city in western Afghanistan close to Iran. Though we as diaspora can't breathe its air nor touch its grass, we deserve to cherish the land in our heart.
