Filmmaker Statement

I think, as long as computers have been around, we have been dependent on them and fearful of them. We need them for everything, but we are terrified of the idea that they will take over our lives or dominate us. In this short film, I wanted to explore the idea that (maybe) computers dominate us already, and all sense of control over them has disappeared. In this reality, I thought it would be interesting to change a light-hearted computer education video into something darker. Mostly, I wanted to make a weird film. The film predominantly uses archive footage from the 1980s educational TV show Bits and Bytes.
