Filmmaker Statement

With If the Shoe Fits, my goal is to challenge viewers to reevaluate the relationships in their lives—romantic or otherwise. I want to remind people that they have the power to walk away from situations that no longer serve them, even when it doesn’t feel obvious. The film uses a bold visual metaphor to make that truth impossible to ignore. I’ve made the mistake of forcing myself into relationships that didn’t fit—like trying to wear shoes that were too small. Even with people close to me warning me, I couldn’t see it. And I know many others can’t either. That’s why I made this film: to help others recognize the signs, trust their instincts, and choose themselves.
