Filmmaker Statement

I wanted to make a film that focused on toxic masculinity, well specifically the nobility that can be attached to toxic masculinity (think Will Smith smacking Chris Rock) and how damaging it can be. Men for the most part are taught the value of honor and nobility which to blunt is perfectly fine. I think honor amongst anyone can be a good think, but in the history of men there’s been an attachment of physical assaults and nobility. The logic of: “he said something involving my own so I hit him” it’s troubling in nature
