Filmmaker Statement

Kitsune is a passion project of mine. It's inspired partially by Dante's Divine Comedy and tells the story of a young foster girl named Beatrice and her escape from the hell she experienced in early childhood. This is a re-submission from earlier in the year and has been edited down substantially, cutting roughly 7 minutes from the original film. In this cut, I wanted to focus more on the young Beatrice's story and her adventure with Kitsune in a way that it would be more accessible for viewers. It's an adventure into a child's imagination and I hope it has the opportunity to reach a larger audience.
