Filmmaker Statement

This short film comes out of an experimental filmmaking class I took during my first year as an MFA student in Production/Directing at UCLA. While I'd had the idea to explore the interiority of an airplane safety video character years ago, the class introduced me to a number of the programs I used to create it. I always want to tell stories that make people laugh. That doesn’t mean shielding people from difficult truths, but by approaching them with a delicate lightness, I hope to inspire people to listen (and maybe even watch their airplane safety videos a little more closely).
