Filmmaker Statement

Bold Content Video and The Commonwealth War Graves Commission made this film about Esther, a Kenyan woman with a remarkable story. Shot on location in Nairobi, Kitui and Tsavo, 'Kwaheri Mutava' is produced by UK based Bold Content Video. Directed by the British film-maker Cal Murphy-Barton the film tells the moving true story of a war widow who waited 79 years to receive news of her husband in the hope he would return.
