Filmmaker Statement

I made this film to explore the idea of how far a young person can go for their love interest that they can not attain. The interest then, becomes an obsession. How can you have someone who doesn't want you the same way? You can't force them to be with you. I believe ideas like these can be explored well via body horror and gore imagery, and that is what I did. I explored these ideas using some body horror, as well as very still and almost invasive camera decisions to capture the most vulnerable sides of having a crush.
