Filmmaker Statement

Michael Day is a Marine combat veteran and an alumnus of Columbia University and Northwestern University, a Pittsburgh transplant, hailing from New York City. He is a writer, producer, photographer,  and cinematographer, having worked on projects with NBC, Universal, BBC, and multiple small indie production companies.  Love Lost is a school passion project that explores the idea of loss from a family member's perspective, rather than that of the military member. I made this short for anyone going through the trauma of losing a loved one.
