Filmmaker Statement

The joy of our work, the joy of filmmaking, the joy of storytelling, is being able to see the humanity in others. Sitting and being with people, fully open and free of judgement, we learn so much. The longer we live and the more humans we encounter, we have been convinced that personal change is the most challenging obstacle to overcome. As we both come face to face with this change ourselves, we find it worth giving absolute grace to others near and distant to us. Living in this state of grace is where we find our commonality with others. Our commonality makes it all worth it. This film is about one person’s change leading to evolution. We’ve learned that evolution oftentimes is a byproduct of change. In this state of transition, one’s vulnerabilities and fears are put on full display.
