Filmmaker Statement

Having grown up in a religious family, the concept of death and the afterlife has always been something that I am regularly thinking about. This film was inspired by the idea that when we pass on, we are not going anywhere we have not been before, and we are simply returning to where our souls originated from. The protagonist goes through the stages of accepting death throughout the film and is a reflection of a journey that we will all have to go through one day. It is my hope that this film gives viewers a sense of ease when thinking about the next chapter of life, and leave them with the idea that maybe death is not something that is to be feared but embraced when it is our time.
