Filmmaker Statement

I had been trying to find a way to speak about this time in my life and what haunts me most about it. I have written short stories, blog posts and essays about my mom and losing her. But I woke up one morning and this film came to me all at once. This film is two ideas merging. I had been trying to make a film about another topic altogether but this story is what came out in film form. I am haunted by the question "If my life looked differently would have I have been a better daughter and caregiver when my mom was sick". This story is about what my life looked like and why I'm haunted by this question.
