Filmmaker Statement

“The last guy on badlands tries to find hope for the future.” In this Non Digital 16mm film work, me and Rapper AL ROCCO together tries to find the meaning of faith. While the World fights bravely against the unknown, it’s clear to see that no matter the differences we have between our people and cultures, we are all in this together. We were inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 2015 film “SILENCE”, we were really hope to make something special, something about human faith to reflecting what was going on with world. In 2020 august, we were drove 8 hours to Salton lake from Los Angeles, we spent two days in there, live with that very special nature; Also we feel that special nature in a truly spiritual way, the location definitely became to a most organic character of our film; The landscapes, the area of abandoned houses, the most peaceful Salton sea, you really can’t ask more from it, I felt we found the true meaning of faith down there when we were filming.
