Filmmaker Statement

A raw edit. Mastering&subtitles are in progress. We fully focused on the milieu, be it in the film or in the production. Every aspect, be it edit, music, ect. has been done by us or close friends. All volunteered, non professionals, wanting to create something together. The Milieu is what inevitably shapes us, an omnipresent entity which carves our desires, actions, fears and our behavior out of us. Something that provides the framework in which we as individuals act and think. Thus, our milieu bears all our potential, however can also restrict us, let us flourish within, but can also cause us to degenerate.  In our film we want to depict the ever changing milieu in our trip through Russia. Draw portraits of the different locations we have experienced with our visual and acoustic language and so express an honest representation of the milieu. An experimental short film focusing on the overarching social, mental and physical layers that shape our riding and touring.
